Endurance (3D):
Fragility is the default. Our focus is durable business models: essential customer needs, layers of customer value, growing moats and structural tailwinds
Execution is hard. We seek cultures and operating models marked by traits such as customer-centricity, empowerment, high standards, rapid learning, and resource rigor.
The bottleneck is at the top. Oceanic leaders are forces of nature—restlessly aware, generous in spirit, endlessly learning, radiating energy. They expand the frontiers of progress by shaping enduring ecosystems of shared value.
One strategy
Long Arc is a long-only, value investor in Indian public equities.
We seek to own enduring businesses led by what we call oceanic leaders—deep thinkers who are also exceptional doers.
To us, the path to superior long-term returns begins with capital preservation. We manage risk through disciplined elimination, price discipline, and prudent diversification.
At our core is deep research, practiced with the mindset of a business owner.
Our Endurance framework (3Ds) guides an iterative process: we first eliminate methodically, then continuously high-grade our conviction on endurance—drawing in both cases on data analysis, targeted fieldwork, and trusted networks. Through a mosaic of observations, we dissect profit pools and key decisions—drawing on insights that surface naturally to shape independent investment decisions.
Our bottom-up search today is focused on Financials, Technology, Industrials, and Consumer.
Long Arc is designed as a partnership with select investors, not a business—with skin in the game for true alignment, and an antifragile structure to benefit from market volatility.
Long Arc draws its name from Martin Luther King’s words: “The moral arc of history is long, but it bends toward justice.”
Progress is messy, takes time and yet prevails.
So too in investing: an infinite canvas for truth seeking—with values as our compass guiding us to endurance.
Human ingenuity drives progress, yet all good things—prosperity, learning, justice—take time.
As value investors, we seek businesses at the frontiers of progress that are occasionally undervalued.
Enduring businesses blend value and values to drive decadal compounding that benefits their ecosystem and society at large.

We have one strategy: to own great businesses in India.
We seek out enduring businesses led by what we call oceanic leaders—deep thinkers who are also exceptional doers. We find these rare companies through deep research, building our conviction piece by piece. This mosaic of insight is formed through fieldwork, data benchmarking, our networks.
We evaluate opportunities through our “3D” framework:
Durability: In the customer proposition, business model and its growth tailwinds.
Discipline: In the execution and resource allocation.
Depth: In the thinking of the leadership and the institution.
Our bottom-up search is currently focused on Financials, Technology, Industrials, and Consumer.
